Fatal Bicycle Crash in Madison County

As Ms. Moseley approached Mr. Conley he turned in an easterly direction entering the southbound lane. Ms. Moseley crossed the center line in an attempt to avoid a collision but was unable to avoid striking Mr. Conley.
State Police in Morrisville are investigating a fatal car/bicycle crash that occurred Aug. 1 at approximately 9:10 p.m. on State Route 12B in the Town of Lebanon. The investigation at the scene revealed that Kaylin S. Moseley, age 20, from Sherburne was operating her 2012 Chevy Malibu southbound on State Route 12B. A bicyclist, Sean Conley, age 23, from Earlville was also traveling southbound along the shoulder of the roadway. As Ms. Moseley approached Mr. Conley he turned in an easterly direction entering the southbound lane. Ms. Moseley crossed the center line in an attempt to avoid a collision but was unable to avoid striking Mr. Conley. He was transported via ambulance to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in the City of Utica where he was pronounced deceased at 11:28 p.m. The investigation is continuing.
