Cayuga County police ID victims of fatal Summerhill crash

Both victims were wearing seat belts, police said. Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
Allysa M. Medler, 20, from Cincinnatus, was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Cayuga County Sunday morning. Medler was driving a 2002 Chevrolet passenger car at 9:30 a.m. on State Route 41A in Summerhill when she lost control of her car in icy conditions and collided with a 2011 Chevrolet pickup head-on. She was pronounced deceased at the crash site. The pickup driver, Daniel C. Warner, of Homer, was transported to Upstate University Hospital with minor injuries.
