Police have identified the driver killed in a one-car accident in Cortland County on Friday.

Police have identified the driver killed in a one-car accident in Cortland County on Friday.

Gerald Natoli, 47, of the Chenango County hamlet of Smithville Flats, died after driving off the road and hitting a tree, according to the road division of the Cortland County Sheriff's Office.

The accident occurred around 12:10 a.m. on state Route 41 in the town of Willet. Natoli was in his 2006 Subaru Forester.

Police haven't announced a cause of the crash.

The Willet Fire Department, Cincinnatus Fire Department, TLC Ambulance and New York State Department of Transportation were among the agencies that responded to the crash on Friday.
