Eleven people are being treated for injuries after a school bus from Rowan County was involved in a crash in south Charlotte on Friday.
Eleven people are being treated for injuries after a school bus from Rowan County was involved in a crash in south Charlotte on Friday. According to MEDIC, the bus crashed along the 5700 block of Providence Road around 11 a.m. This is near Shalom Park. Eleven people are being treated for injuries. Most of the injuries are considered to be minor. The students were from Rowan County and were on a field trip to the Jewish Community Center (JCC) when the crash occurred. The bus driver backed up the school bus and hit a wall. No one was seriously injured in the crash. Patients were being held inside the JCC where they received initial treatment. MEDIC brought out the mass casualty bus to help transport patients to Carolinas Medical Center-Main, in Charlotte.
