Leroy Gray, 53, struck and seriously injured by hit-and-run driver while walking on Apple Street in Burlington, North Carolina

Burlington police said 53-year-old Leroy Gray was hit by a vehicle while walking on Apple Street near Hall Avenue. Gray told police he was walking near the Hall Avenue intersection when a dark colored mid-size vehicle turned off Hall and hit him. The vehicle continued on Apple Street toward Rauhut Street and didn’t stop. EMS crews took Gray to Alamance Regional Medical Center with a possible bone fracture in his leg.
