1 killed, 3 injured in crash on US 29 south at Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Greensboro

The highway is closed near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. All traffic is being redirected onto Gate City Drive. Police say it is expected to remain closed until late morning or early lunchtime.

Greensboro highway crash kills 21-year-old, sends three others to hospital

A 2006 Acura with four people inside left the road, according to police. Dabney Jo Grubbs, of Reidsville, was ejected from the vehicle and died from her injuries at the scene.

Speed, impairment believed to be factors in deadly Highway 29 crash in Greensboro

The crash is still under investigation. However, Greensboro police said both speed and impairment are believed to be factors in the deadly crash.

In addition to her parents, Dabney is survived by her sister, Jordan Grubbs of Reidsville; her grandparents, Sherry Ayers of Eden, Carol Ludwig of Frostproof, FL, Kennith Grubbs of Axton, VA; and her uncles, Richard Place of Clover, SC and Paul Ludwig of Payne, OH.
