Pilot Mountain man killed in motorcycle crash
Sammy Joe Long, 41, of Pilot Mountain lost control of the motorcycle on a curve on U.S. Route 421 north near mile marker 16 and crashed into a guardrail in the median around 5 p.m., according to the Kernersville Police Department.
Long and Saige Caroline Leftwich, 22, of King were thrown from the motorcycle.
