One dead, two others injured in a crash involving a tractor trailer and a passenger car on Highway 52 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina

According to deputies, a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle were traveling south on Highway 52. Both made contact at some point. The passenger vehicle collided with the guard rail and then with the tractor-trailer. The passenger in the passenger vehicle died at the scene. The driver of the passenger vehicle was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
