Child killed in North Carolina crash, highway patrol says
Once on scene, the trooper learned a 1999 GMC pickup truck crossed the center line and hit a 2005 Dodge passenger car, leading to the Dodge running off the road and hitting a ditch, according to a news release from the highway patrol. The left rear passenger of the Dodge, a girl, 9 or 10 years old, was pronounced dead at a hospital. She was identified as Estrella Cortez Rodriguez.
