— One woman is dead following a fatal collision on N.C. Highway 42 on Friday evening. Authorities said that a vehicle driven by Angela Corder, 49, was traveling westbound on N.C. Highway 42 at about 6:20 p.m. when it veered left and struck another vehicle head-on. The occupants of the second vehicle, an unidentified 46-year-old man and his wife, were taken to Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Authorities said that they don’t believe speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
