Elena Burgos, 38, died in a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Poole Road and Major Slade Road in Eastern Wake County, North Carolina

Troopers have identified Elena Burgos of Raleigh as the driver of the Ford sedan that did not stop at the stop sign at the intersection. The sedan went airborne, crossed a ditch, and hit a large tree. The impact ejected Burgos from the vehicle and caused it to flip on its side.
