According to state troopers, a white Ford F-250 pickup traveling westbound on Wood’s Crossroads Road, failed to yield at stop sign, and was attempting to make a left turn within the intersection. The pickup collided with an unmarked Dodge Charger patrol car, traveling northbound on NC Highway 242.

As the subject attempted to flee, he struck an unmarked police vehicle causing the door of the patrol car to strike the officer’s leg. EMS responded and treated the officer on the scene for a minor injury.
