School bus, pickup collide in Durham; 3 students suffer minor injuries
Three elementary school students were taken to Duke University Medical Center with minor injuries early Friday after a Durham school bus was hit by a pickup truck.The wreck happened at about 8 a.m. near the intersection of East Lavender Avenue and Roxboro Street.
The driver of the pickup truck was taken to the hospital. A total of five students were on board the bus at the time of the wreck on their way to Merrick-Moore Elementary and Glen Elementary, Durham Public Schools officials said.
