At approximately 12:12pm Tuesday, troopers said Kenneth Burnette, 56, of Mount Airy, NC was traveling eastbound in a pickup truck towing a boom lift. The boom lift detached from the pickup, traveled through the median, and struck two vehicles traveling westbound.
