Pedestrian struck, killed along I-40 West in south Raleigh :: WRAL.com

A pedestrian died early Friday after being hit by a car on Interstate 40 West near South Saunders Street in Raleigh, police said. The pedestrian's name and gender have not been released, but police said the person was not a Fortify construction worker. 

Police identify woman struck and killed in I-40 work zone in Raleigh

Annmarie Elizabeth Perna of Raleigh was on foot after her sedan became disabled, according to police. Police said Perna was struck by a 2010 Toyota pickup driven by Shawn Lyndell Price, 45, of Roanoke Rapids. Price was not injured.
