His mother, Fredericka Faison, now hopes that her son’s story will inspire the driver to do the right thing. On Thursday night, Terrence Faison took the bus home from his night job at Crabtree Valley Mall.

A Knightdale man was arrested Monday in the Oct. 29 hit-and-run death of a Raleigh man on Poole Road. According to the arrest warrant, Leake unintentionally caused Faison’s death while driving under the influence. Caesar Leake, 47, of 1033 Spawn Place, faced a felony hit-and-run charge in the death of Terrance Rayshone Faison. Authorities said that Faison was hit just before midnight on Oct. 29 while he was walking home. Leake, who was arrested by a State Highway Patrol officer Monday, was also charged with insurance fraud in connection to the incident.

Fredericka Faison expressed anger and bitterness toward the hit-and-run driver. An anonymous tip helped the Highway Patrol put Leake’s SUV at the scene and ultimately led to his arrest. "You hit my son. "I’m just very relieved," Faison's mother, Fredericka Faison, said of the arrest. On Monday, the State Highway Patrol arrested Caesar Leake, 47, of 1033 Spawn Place in Knightdale, and charged him with felony hit-and-run, aggravated death by motor vehicle and driving while impaired.
