Eddie Swindell, 75, died, four others injured after a collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Church Road and Warren Mill Road in Newton Grove, North Carolina

A preliminary investigation found a 26-year-old woman was traveling east on Warren Mill Road. Eddie Swindell, 75, of Newton Grove, was traveling south on Church Road. The woman failed ot yield while crossing the road and pulled into Swindell's path, the Highway Patrol said.

A driver died and four others were injured Monday after a truck crashed into a home, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
