Freddie Lee Alston, 75, died after crashing into a utility pole and a home on South Grace Street in Rocky Mount, North Carolina

Police said Alston was driving south along the street around 4:55 p.m. Tuesday. According to the police, he hit the rear of a Honda Civic, and continued off the left side of the street before crashing into a utility pole and a home.
