The patrol says the driver and a passenger in a pickup truck were killed about 6:30 a.m. Friday when the semi driver lost control of the rig on Highway 23 near New Town in Mountrail County and struck the victims' vehicle head on.
Two killed in New Town accident identified
Landis was traveling east on the business loop and lost control on the snow-covered road as he was negotiating a curve. The semi crossed the center line, striking the westbound pickup driven by Wilcox head on.
