Timothy Davis, 44, killed, after his motorcycle is struck by another vehicle on Reading Road in the Avondale area of Cincinnati.

Reading Road has reopened in Avondale after a motorcyclist was killed in an accident.

Cincinnati police said the motorcyclist was hit by another driver in the 3500 block of Reading Road about 4 p.m. Thursday.

The road was closed near the Avondale branch of the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. It reopened about 6:30 p.m.

The motorcyclist was taken to UC Medical Center with severe head injuries, where he was pronounced dead about 5 p.m.

Police said Timothy Davis, 44, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Officers have not said if the driver of the truck would be charged. They said the driver of the Jeep turned in front of the motorcyclist.
