Phyllis A. Walls, 68, killed and Mary A. Channell, 69, seriously injured in two-car crash on Brush Creek Road in Manchester, Ohio

A woman died in a crash in Adams County on Wednesday evening. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Phyllis A. Walls, 68, of West Union, was traveling southbound on Brush Creek Road at about 7:30 p.m. when she struck an oncoming pickup head on. Walls was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Adams County coroner. The pickup driver, Mary A. Channell, 69, of Manchester, was airlifted to UC Medical Center for treatment. The crash remains under investigation.
