AKRON, Ohio – Three people were hospitalized Friday evening after they were involved in a two-car accident on Ohio Route 8 near the Tallmadge Avenue exit in Akron. Leon Henderson said in a press release. Five people in total were injured during the accident, including one person who was trapped. The accident occurred about 8:40 p.m., Akron fire Lt. Of those five people, three were taken to an area hospital, Henderson said.
