According to officials, both boys were either ejected or partially ejected from the Chrysler 200 they were riding in when it collided with a Chevrolet Impala during the procession on South Arlington Street near 6th Avenue.

A preliminary investigation indicates that “speed and reckless operation” may have played a role in the accident, Miller said. A decision on whether charges are warranted will be made after completion of the accident reconstruction, he said.
