Four killed including infant when vehicle hits their car in Ashtabula (link is external)

According to a press release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a Toyota Corolla was being driven by an 18-year-old Ashtabula man. In his vehicle were a 19-year-old woman; a 47-year-old woman; and the 22-month-old son of the 18-year-old and 19-year-old.

Officers say a 48-year-old man was driving a Dodge Ram 1500 on West 58th Street and went through a stop sign and hit a 1998 Toyota Corolla driven by 18-year-old Giovanni Miller.

Wednesday, the Ashtabula Grand Jury announced that they indicted Conard on aggravated vehicular homicide charges, possession of cocaine and an OVI earlier this week.

Prosecutors say it was Conard’s fifth drunk driving arrest in 21 years. He could face up to 32 years in prison.
