Two people were killed in a crash on state Route 57 in Elyria Thursday morning. It happened just south of North Abbe Road at about 11:30 a.m.

The two occupants of the Dodge Caravan, driver and passenger, were dead upon the arrival of police officers and medical personnel, according to police. The trailer of the semi-truck then hit a Cadillac SRX and a Volkswagen Atlas.
