The vehicle crossed the intersection and came to a final stop after wrapping around a utility pole before catching fire.
The driver and the passenger of the vehicle died at the scene of the crash.

According to the Lorain Police Department, their green 2001 Volkswagen Jetta was headed west on East 36th Street approaching the intersection with Fulton Road when it traveled off the right side of the road after going through the intersection and slammed into a utility pole, police said.
