Two Deerfield men killed in crash in Suffield Township

The crash sent both vehicles off the road and closed the highway for several hours.

Police: Two killed in Portage County crash

The Ohio State Patrol is investigating a deadly two-vehicle crash that happened Tuesday morning at 7:50 a.m. 
At around 8:00am, Woodford was driving west on U.S. 224 in Suffield Township, when he crossed the center line of the highway and collided with an oncoming pickup truck driven by Michael Luli, 47. Neither Woodford nor his passenger Welsh were wearing seat belts, and both were killed in the accident. Both Luli and his passenger Eric Blake, 29, were wearing seat belts and Luli sustained minor injuries while Blake was not hurt. The cause of this crash remains under investigation; check back for updates.
