Laszlo Zala of Chagrin Falls was driving his 2011 Chevy Malibu west on Cannon Road about 9:15 a.m. Oct. 6. A witness told police he stopped his car at a red light and then continued into the intersection of Cannon Road and SOM Center Road.

According to witnesses, Laszlo Zala ran a red light and then was hit by an oncoming truck driven by a 35-year-old man from Ravenna. Zala was taken to a local hospital but died not long after. The truck driver was hospitalized for minor injuries. More information pending.
