Two High School Students Killed In Fayette County Crash

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed two people were killed in a single-vehicle accident Saturday night on U.S. 62. Both were seniors at the East Clinton School District in Clinton County. According to the sheriff’s office, 17-year-old Anderson Vannieuwenhze was driving a 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora traveling southbound on U.S. 62. The crash happened just north of the Fayette/Highland County line in Green Township. The vehicle then traveled off the right side of the road striking a ditch and utility pole before stopping.
