One person was hospitalized in critical condition following a crash involving a COTA bus on the city's east side early Wednesday morning.

One person was hospitalized in critical condition following a crash involving a COTA bus on the city's east side early Wednesday morning.

According to Columbus police, the crash involving a COTA bus and a passenger vehicle occurred at the intersection of Refugee and Gender roads at about 6 a.m.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. No other injuries were reported.

The northbound lanes of Gender Road were restricted at Refugee Road, but were later reopened. The southbound lanes of Gender Road remained open.
