Tolles student killed in crash on Rt. 42

Zachary George, 18, of Plain City, was driving a 2001 Honda SUV southbound on Rt. 42 and turned in front of an oncoming northbound semi and was hit, according to the West Jefferson post of the State Highway Patrol. George was taken to OhioHealth Doctors Hospital in Columbus and died a short time later, the patrol said.

The driver of the 2013 Freightliner semi, 42-year-old Michael Whetstone, of South Charleston, was not injured.

Tolles Tech student killed in US 42 crash

A teen who attends Tolles, located at 7877 US-42, was killed, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol. The teen was transported from the scene to Doctors West hospital.
