Clint Millay, 35, killed in car accident after striking construction equipment on State Route 142 near West Jefferson, OH

Troopers are investigating an accident near West Jefferson that left one person dead after striking a piece of construction equipment. According reportsl, at about 10:46 a.m. Saturday, troopers were called to State Route 142 near County Road 70 on the report of a single vehicle crash. When they arrived at the accident, troopers found a car that had crashed into the back of a piece of heavy construction equipment. Troopers said 35-year-old Clint J. Millay, of Whitehall, was driving a 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis east on a part of S.R. 142 that was closed due to construction, when he veered off the right side of the roadway. Millay's car struck the rear of the unoccupied heavy equipment that was sitting outside of the traffic way. Troopers continue to investigate, but said Millay was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
