The person killed in a Greene County crash today has been identified as John Glatfelter Jr., 46, of Springfield, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol.
About 6 a.m. Monday, Glatfelter’s vehicle crashed while driving south on U.S. 68. He was not wearing a seat belt, the investigation revealed.
“Evidence shows that the Mr. Glatfelter Jr. drifted off the left side of the road and then drove back across U.S. 68 going off the right side of the roadway and through a chain link fence,” according to Sgt. Paul Lezotte. “The truck continued into a yard striking the corner of an outbuilding and striking a tree where it came to rest.”
