Hancock County crash kills woman
Jennifer L. Leightey, 35, was westbound at about 7:37 a.m. on County Road 4 at the intersection of County Road 157 when the Jeep Commander she was driving was struck by a Toyota Tundra driven by Charles C. McVey, 37. Mr. McVey had been northbound when he failed to yield the right of way to Ms. Leightey, according to the sheriff’s office. She was pronounced dead at the scene. An eight-year-old girl in Ms. Leightey’s vehicle was taken by helicopter to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center, while two other passengers — a three-year-old boy and a one-year-old girl — were taken by ambulance to Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay.
