The condition of the driver and the cause of collision are under investigation. Neither Skiver nor Lozano were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident, according to the report.

An OHP report says the two were westbound on a county road in a car driven by Skiver when the car went off the roadway about 3:35 a.m. Thursday and became airborne before crashing top first into a utility pole.
Two Fort Smith residents died Thursday after their vehicle crashed in Sequoyah County. Quentin Skiver, 32, and Diana Lozano, 28, were in a 1996 Nissan Maxima when it veered off of county road East 1120, just west of Roland, about 3:35 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle was traveling at high speed. Skiver lost control of the vehicle, which left the roadway, went airborne, and hit a utility pole. The car broke into three pieces, ejecting Skiver and Lozano. Skiver and Lozano both were pronounced deceased at the crash scene. Their bodies were taken to Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, and then will be taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Tulsa.
