3 Teenagers Killed in Eastern Oklahoma Crash

The OHP says the dead are a 17-year-old boy from Bokoshe; a 14-year-old boy from Bokoshe; and a 15-year-old girl from Heavener. An OHP report says the truck was driven by the 17-year-old Bokoshe boy and being pursued by police about 1:30 a.m. SHADY POINT, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says three teenagers were killed and two others were critically injured when the pickup truck they were in crashed while being pursued by police in the Le Flore County town of Shady Point. Saturday when the truck went off a county road and rolled, then crashed into a tree. The injured are two 17-year-old boys; one from Poteau and one from Panama.

According to police, a Shady Point officer tried to pull the teens over on a suspected DUI about 1 a.m. after spotting the car driving in the shoulder. Police say the driver of the vehicle then sped off.
