Barnett was driving a vehicle east when a vehicle that had been parked on the shoulder by Serghei N. Nacai, 27, of Arlington Heights, Illinois, pulled onto I-40 and Barnett hit the rear of the vehicle driven by Nacai, the patrol reports.
