OHP: 2 killed in fiery crash on SH 9 in Earlsboro(link is external)

Two people died Friday in a fiery crash on State Highway 9 in Earlsboro. Officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said possibly three cars were involved in an accident at the intersection of SH 9 and Chambers Road. Officials have not released the names of the victims. Three other people were injured, officials said. Two of the vehicles caught fire after the collision.

EARLSBORO — A woman and a teenager died Friday in a vehicle collision along a Pottawatomie County highway, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported. About 4:05 p.m., Amanda Renai Miner, 22, of Earlsboro, was attempting to make a turn off of State Highway 9 near Earlsboro onto a county road when the vehicle she was in was struck from behind and forced into the westbound lane and hit by a second vehicle, troopers said. Miner and a passenger, an unnamed 13-year-old girl, died at the scene from their injuries. Both were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.

Two Dead After 3-Vehicle Crash In Rural Pottawatomie County(link is external)

Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) Troopers, along with deputies from the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Department, have shut down State Highway 9 and Chambers Rd. while crews work the scene. Two people are confirmed dead from this crash.

The cause of the crash has not been determined. According to first responders, two of the vehicles were still on fire when they arrived.
