5-year-old and woman die after DUI crash in Payne County

A woman and a 5-year-old are dead following a DUI crash in Payne County late Friday.

Goblet was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, troopers said.

An Oklahoma Highway Patrol collision report says a Stillwater man had been drinking when his pickup crossed the center line and hit another vehicle head on, killing a child in that vehicle. 

Two killed in Stillwater vehicle crash

Officials said the Volkswagen’s driver, 29-year-old Mckala Miner, 29, was admitted to the University of Oklahoma Medical Center in critical condition. They said she died just after 6:30 a.m.
McKala Miner, 29, of Pawnee and a five year old girl killed, a second passenger injured in car accident with James Goblet, 23 when his Dodge struck her vehicle head on and rolled.  Miner's  second passenger was transported to a local hospital.  Goblet was taken to Stillwater Hospital, treated, and released into trooper custody.  Clint Hobbs, 26,  a passenger in Goblet's vehicle, was taken to the hospital.  The cause of the accident is listed as a DUI.
