2 juveniles killed in crash during Oklahoma police chase

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a 12-year-old girl and a 13-year-old girl have died after the car they were riding in crashed while being pursued by police in western Oklahoma.

"Hannah and her were supposed to be spending the night at my house. And then they snuck out of my house and met up with them at Wal-Mart," said Richey's dad, Jason Richey.

The teenage driver is now being held in police custody and was in court Wednesday. His mother said he has a troubled past, which likely was the reason he didn’t stop the car.

The accident, which took place at the intersection of 20th and Madison in Woodward, happened at about 12:55 a.m., according to an OHP report.
