The report says Anderson was westbound and James was eastbound when Anderson’s pickup crossed the center line and collided with James’ pickup on the shoulder of the highway. The cause of the collision was not immediately known.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says two men were killed when the pickup trucks they were driving collided on state Highway 51 near Mannford.
An OHP report says 71-year-old Wayne Anderson of Yale and 79-year-old Herman James of Enid died in the crash just before 10:45 a.m. Wednesday. A passenger in James’ truck was treated and released at a Tulsa hospital.
