Officers are also hoping to speak with a person walking in the area at the time of the collision.
The Sand Springs Police Department released the names of the two women critically injured in a high speed crash Thursday. Donna Jo Newton, 31, and her passenger Jessica Lynn Cozad, 25, are hospitalized and in critical condition after the vehicle crashed into a stone column. There was also a white four-door late model car that was either racing or being chased by Newton and Cozad. Investigators determined both vehicles were going faster than 75 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone.
