Suspect declares he "was wasted," after fatal crash

Police say Moore and an unidentified male passenger inside his vehicle were not seriously injured. However, Moore smelled like alcohol.  In fact, he is said to have told officers that he, "was wasted."
One man is dead in a crash believed to be caused by drinking and driving. It occured at 2:40 a.m. Saturday at the corner of East 1st Street and South Peoria. The driver of a blue pickup was heading east on 1st Street when he ran the stop sign and hit a car on Peoria. There were two occupants in both vehicles: a man and woman in the car and two men in the pickup. The car's driver was pronounced dead at the scene according to police. Alcohal is believed to be involved, and the pickup's driver was arrested at the scene. The passenger in the truck is cooperating and told officers they had just left a bar when the wreck occured. The woman passenger in the car was sent to the hospital in unknown condition.
