Spavinaw woman dies in Craig County wreck

About 2:35 a.m. Friday, a sport utility vehicle traveling north on State Highway 82, about 4 miles east of Vinita, took the east bound exit onto U.S. 60 but was struck by a tractor-trailer after attempting to turn west, troopers said. Stacey M. Love, 27, of Spavinaw, died at the scene from her injuries. The driver of the SUV, Darris W. Parker, 28 of Miami, was flown to a Tulsa area hospital in fair condition, the patrol reported. Love and Parker were not wearing seat belts, troopers said.

Troopers say the SUV was traveling north on State Highway 82 and then took an eastbound exit onto U.S. 60, but then attempted to make a left turn westbound onto U.S. 60. The SUV was struck by the tractor-trailer after it attempted to turn west. The passenger in the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene.
