A 16-year-old driver was cited for following too close to another car after rear-ending a car and causing a four-vehicle crash near Redmond in which five people were injured.
It began about 2 p.m. Thursday when a car driven by Donna Woodman, 54, of Redmond, had stopped on Oregon 126 to turn into the Cline Falls State Park lot, Oregon State Police reported.
Her car was struck by car, which then slid off the shoulder and hit a parked truck, troopers said.
The first car was pushed into oncoming traffic and was hit by a car driven by Helen Hagen, 70, of Culver, troopers said.
All three drivers and two passengers were taken St. Charles Medical Center in Redmond with non-life threatening injuries, troopers said.
Troopers have not released the name of the 16 –year-old girl.
