Lane County crash victim identified

The car then struck a tree and caught on fire. A passing motorist stopped and tried to help but wasn't able to get the driver out of the car.
The man who was killed Tuesday when his car hit a tree off Oregon 126W has been identified as Lance Matthew Hose. The crash occurred around 6 p.m. when a 1995 Honda Accord went off the highway while negotiating a left turn about 11 miles west of Veneta.
