Woman, 87, killed in Oregon 126W crash near Walton

The pickup's passenger, an 87-year-old woman, was extricated by fire crews and flown to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend with critical injuries. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Bend man's pickup crashes on Hwy. 126W; mother killed

According to OSP Sgt. Casey Codding, around 3:30 p.m., a Toyota pickup driven by William L. Calhoun was on the highway near milepost 26 when it went off the road and struck a tree. The driver's 87-year old mother, Beverly Louise Calhoun of Florence, was trapped in the pickup and removed by Western Lane Fire / EMS personnel, Codding said.
An 87-year-old woman was killed in a crash on Oregon 126W about 6 miles west of Walton on Friday, The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. when a Toyota pickup drove off the highway and hit a tree. The driver, a 64-year-old man, suffered minor injures. The pickup's passenger was flown to Sacred Heart Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Both the driver and passenger were using seat belts.
