The driver of the semi-truck was on scene and cooperative with the investigation. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene by emergency personnel. His name will be released when appropriate.

The truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, OSP said. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. OSP indicated that his name would be released later.

Oregon State Police said at about 2:35 a.m. on Monday, May 3, a pedestrian was in the middle I-5 near Medford for unknown reasons and was struck by a passing semi-truck.
