Highway 26 was closed at milepost 86. Traffic was reportedly backed up for miles.

At about 4 p.m. near milepost 86 of U.S. 26, a westbound 2007 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Nathan Verhaeghe, 31, of Spokane, Washington, hit the rear of Clausen's Matrix, pushing the Matrix into the eastbound lane where it collided with Burke's Chrysler van.
