Driver, passenger arrested in fatal DUII crash.
The driver and a passenger involved in a fatal DUII crash Sunday morning have been arrested.
Gawayne Streeter, 28, ran his Pontiac Grand Prix into a utility pole in Northeast Portland Sunday around 6 a.m., according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.
Paul Williams, 24, of Portland was killed in the crash. He was a passenger in the vehicle.
Streeter and three other passengers suffered injuries, but they were not life-threatening, police said.
Streeter was arrested after he was released from the hospital. He faces DUII, manslaughter and assault charges, among others. He also had an outstanding warrant for cocaine possession, DUII, reckless driving and failure to perform the duties of a driver.
Another passenger, 27-year-old John Perry, was arrested after he was released from the hospital. Perry had an outstanding warrant for theft, escape and felon possession of a restricted weapon, among other charges.
